Timses: Prabowo-Password Has a Special Tip to Face Free Papua

JurnalUpdate. Director of Advocacy and Law of the National Winning Body (BPN) Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated that the presidential candidates supported by him would defend Papua in the NKRI region. That attitude will be carried out if Prabowo-Sandi is elected.

"What is clear is that the integrity of the NKRI is prioritized and Papua will be maintained," Dasco said.
Dasco agrees that there are parties who want Papua to be given the right to be independent or free from Indonesia. Mainly based on unfair treatment and violence to human rights violations that often occur in Papua.

However, Dasco considers Prabowo-Sandi to apply special tips if elected in the presidential election. Although not detailed, Dasco is certain that this special step can ease the conflict that has occurred so far.
"We admit that so far there are still many who support Papuan independence. But, perhaps with the election of Pak Prabowo and Mr. Sandi, there will be special tips that will be supported by both parties," Dasco said.
"We cannot say about the method," said the Deputy General Chair of the Gerindra Party.

In Prabowo-Sandi's vision and mission which was submitted to the General Election Commission (KPU), there was no explicit written plan regarding Papua.

The document only states that Prabowo-Sandi will synergize the security and socio-economic approaches in conflict-prone areas and are vulnerable to separatism. The plan is point number 17 Political, Legal and Defense Action Program.

Dasco then stressed that Prabowo was very concerned about Papua and the local community. Therefore, according to Dasco, Prabowo will definitely do the best for the people of the paradise of paradise.

"As far as I know, Pak Prabowo is very concerned about the brothers in Papua. The most important thing is the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia," Dasco said.

Supported by Tommy Suharto

Separately, Chairman of the Working Party DPP Badaruddin Andi Picunang stated that his general chairman, Tommy Suharto, would help Prabowo Subianto manage the Papua region better if elected president. First and foremost is to keep Papua as part of the NKRI.

"Even a little of our land does not want to be released from the NKRI. The price is dead," Badar said when contacted.

Badar agreed that there were ripples that voiced independence for Papua or separated from Indonesia, Badar believed that Tommy Suharto and Prabowo would take various steps to address this.
Prioritized actions will be in the form of persuasiveness or dialogue with those who long for independence. According to him, aspects of human rights will remain held in order to create a conducive atmosphere in Papua.

However, Badar said lifting weapons could also be an option. The action will be taken if persuasive steps do not go according to expectations.

"If it is deadlocked and there is no other way to take up arms," Badar said.
"We should avoid flying lives because it involves human rights, but we also don't want them to be ridden by outsiders who want to destroy the NKRI. Papua is part of the NKRI," he said.

Badar then explained that Tommy Suharto was also determined to participate in the better management of Papua. Tommy, he continued, wanted people's economy based on stability, growth and equity to be applied on the earth of paradise.

Badar believes Tommy wants change in Papua. He referred to the origin of Tommy's original name, Hutomo Mandala Putra.
He explained that Tommy was born when the Mandala Command for the Liberation of West Irian was carried out. At that time, the second President of the Republic of Indonesia Suharto who served as the operations commander.

On that basis, Badar believes that Papua is always in Tommy's heart. Moreover, the sandalwood prince has also traveled around Papua in order to review his constituency. It is known, Tommy advanced to become a legislative candidate for the DPR RI Working Party in Papua.

"If Mas Bowo (Prabowo) with Papua is no stranger, he was once tasked with maintaining security stability in Papua. Leading directly. So there is no need to doubt his love for Papua," Badar said.
